FAIR & PARADE COMMITTEE

The Fair is a complex organization that works year round to plan the largest community event that Belchertown enjoys. It is entirely volunteer run in concert with many town departments. The Fair Committee is comprised of 9 Full members appointed by the Board of Selectmen at the recommendation of the Committee when vacancy becomes available. There will be a Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer. It is strongly recommended that Committee members are appointed after demonstrated interest in working with and learning about the event. The number of full members may change as the need is determined.

A full member is appointed by BOS. Takes part in all meetings, discussions and voting decision making of all areas of policy and finance. Full members have defined responsibility year round as well as helping out as needed especially during fair week.
